Exclamation [Lubuntu] Files' Size On Disk is ~ 10x Total Size Of Files!

PcManFM, right click on a folder and it brings up two pieces of info: total size of files and their size on disk, the size on disk is normally 10x the total size of files! For example a folder in my home is 880kib but 10.5Mib on disk. Is this normal? How can I fix it if last question is no? Ext3

Read the man page for the du command, then look at the directories and files in question with du, then report your findings back.

The arguments for du, especially the "apparent-size" one, suggest some interesting ways for looking into this so you can provide more precise data.
