I Just found out how to run IDM on ubuntu & This worked 100%

Why would anyone want to run six year old software through WINE, when there are probably a dozen or so download managers that already run under Linux, do the same things, and run faster?

I always take claims of faster download speed (such as IDM gives) as snake oil, any reason not to?
