[Fedora Core 2]Enemy Territory displays error while installing and runs too slow.

I had ET running very well under FC1, but after a clean install on FC2, ET is very slow including the menu and intro movie. I've installed the latest Nvidia drivers (6106) on the 2.6.6-1.435.2.3 kernel. The game is so slow that can't even move my mouse properly in the menu and I get vote kicked from servers almost instantly because I make the game lag. I don't have any other games to test if they have the same problem, however the rest of my fedora core programs such as mplayer seem to run smooth with the drivers so I'm quite sure ET is the problem.

during the installation process these errors appear in console:
Code:
 [root@noname download]# sh et-linux-2.55.x86.run
Verifying archive integrity... All good.

Do you have latest video card drivers installed?? Cause maybe you don't have 3D accel enabled, so the game has to run on software accel, which really sucks.

The game wont run without 3d drivers installed because it needs open GL, thnx for the reply though
