Hello, everyone.
I am running SuSE Linux 8.2 Professional with KDE 3.1.1.
Yesterday, I used SuSE's YOU utility to apply some security updates to the kernel (2.4.20-4), which may or may not have a bearing on the error that I get when I try to access the KDE Kernel Configurator via the KDE Control Center:
> Sorry
>
> The kernel configuration could not be read
> due to the following error:
>
> cannot open /usr/src/linux/arch//config.in
> for reading
>
> Either your kernel sources contain invalid
> configuration rules or you just found a bug
> in the KDE Kernel Configurator.
I am trying to install 'lm-sensors' for use with GKrellM 2 and I wish to use the option not to patch and recompile the kernel (which is why I tried to see what information I could gather from the Kernel Configurator).
I am doing Google/Linux searches, but I have not yet found an exact match for this error; I will continue looking.
If anyone has any suggestions for this newbie, I would be most grateful.
Thank you, very much, in advance!
Cordially,
David
