[apache 2.0] can't get index.html to load

standard location is /www/apache-default , i removed the files there and put a simple index.html in it. no go

checked the apache2.conf file , it IS a default file to open..

all it does is show the files in the /apache2-default dir...

what are the permissions on the index.html you created? That might stop it, but I'm guess there is more to it than that

Check the permissions for the directory, too. What kind of error message did you get? Also, check the error_log file.
