*box users - system monitor

i switched back to fluxbox recently, and im looking for a system monitor. i want something that displays in a bar so i can set it in the slit and still see it when i full-screen a window. i dont like the look of gkrellm, and i want something that looks nice. so far the only thing ive found is to set up several dockapps to monitor cpu/mem/net/etc. i also want something that will be nice to my resources, i only have a 1.8 with 512mb ram, and i dont want to have to shutdown and restart the system monitor when i start playing WoW or something else cpu-intensive.

what im asking, is what does everyone running flux/black/openbox use ?

On fluxbox i use conky, it can show all the system info you like, not particularly attractive (highly configurable though) but it can render on the desktop or in it's own window (for the slit).

I've never found anything that beats superkaramba, it works ok on my lappy (half the spec of yours) although i have all sorts of trouble outside of KDE
