'Invalid Conversion' Error when Compiling vbam Source

Hello,

While vbam is an emulator for gaming, this particular question is more about general error fixing when compiling any downloaded source files, not actually particular to gaming.

My problem is simple: the configure script for the vbam source is generating an "invalid conversion from const char * to char *" error message. Being a programmer myself I understand the message itself but I was wondering if there was a simpler way to fix this than to actually edit the source...

EDIT: I should mention that I am using the SlackBuild from SlackBuilds.org which makes this even more puzzling; I don't remember ever having problems with their scripts before.

Well I'm an idiot. It was all dependencies; around ten of them. For some reason it wasn't telling me what it was looking for in the terminal so I wasn't thinking of it. So it was a pain but it works now.
