I am very inexperienced. Please explain very clearly so I can understand. Thanks in advance for any help.

1. I got the following error trying to install 'trimage' through the Ubuntu Software Center:

Looks like an issue with dpkg trying to do some task. My guess is an entry in /var ought to be more precise.

The package linux-headers-3.0.0-12 has some issues but I can't be sure if it is a local issue or network issue.

see if you can install linux-headers-3.0.0-12

Thx for your help and quick response. I think I did what you said. Here's what I get. What does it mean and what do I do?


$ sudo apt-get install linux-headers-3.0.0-12

Try this as in your error message

thks, EDDY1. here's what i got. where do i go from here?

$ sudo dpkg --configure linux-headers-3.0.0-12

I am now unable to install ANY software, updates, etc .... please Help!!
