'Daemon Tools' for linux?
There was a handy app which I used on windows called 'Daemon Tools'. It basically created a virutal cd drive where I could load images without having to insert the CD. I've been looking around for a similar app that can be used with linux, but no success...
Is there an alternate way of creating a 'virtual drive'? -Thanks |
You can mount ISO9660 (*.iso, *.raw) CD images without any external tools. Try mount -o loop -t iso9660 filename.iso /path/to/mountpoint, or use CDemu to mount Goldenhawk-type (.bin/.cue) CD images.

or u could download a script called Mount ISO image that will lets u just right click on an ISO image and select mount then a folder of this image will appear on the desktop

Thanks! Both of those are very useful

Is there anything similar to alcohol 120%, that supports multiple image types through a gui?

Did CDEMU support clone-cd files?

From cdemu site: Looking ahead: CDemu was first created to support bin/cue images. Ideally, we'd like to be able to support Nero (.nrg), Disc Juggler (.cdi), Clone CD (.ccd), etc... Anyone with spare time and spare patches would be appreciated :) |
MDF/MDS Support?
Does anyone know a way to mount MDF/MDS files under linux?
|
There are no tools to mount MDS/MDF images... However I can report that 'UltraISO' works perfectly under WINE - I've just used it to convert some MDFs to ISO and burn them with cdrecord as usual :)
http://www.ezbsystems.com/ultraiso/download.htm It's shareware and will need registered before it will save a file over 300MB, but I can confirm that when you use a valid serial number, the program works in full mode :) Cheers, Gavin. |
