Your favorite EMail server please ...

Hello all,

Seeking an e-mail server that would have the following:
Be able to select e-mails with the following criteria
a. date_crated is between date1 and date2
b. Subject = some kind of wildcard value (ex: "TEMP*") would bring back e-mails with a Subject= TEMP1, TEMPTING, TEMPTRESS, etc.

And ...

the e-mail server has a C/C++ programming interface, can handle large loads as well as being easy to administer.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

TIA

Your description is very vague, but I'd say that's not the job of an email server. In fact there is no such thing as an email server, just a number of separate mail service, e.g. smtp server, imap4 server etc, which combine to make an overall email system. The closest you'd get is an imap / pop3 service, but those requirements are not part of either protocol. And further to that, it's up to a client to make those sorts of requests in the first instance. It doesn't make sense to require a server capable of these unconventional functions without the ability to request it from the server.
