Xen and eth bonding on Debian Lenny = PITA!

I'm trying to set up the following system on my Debian Lenny system:

Code:
eth0 --|
       |-- bond0 (mode 5) -- (vif) -- Xen DomU vifs
eth1 --|
bond0 will have IP 172.22.0.200, mask 255.255.0.0, gateway 172.22.0.1

Now, I can get this working with just the bonding, or just Xen (i.e. using only eth0). However, as soon as I try to use both, I run into tons of problems. My most recent is getting "bond0: Error when getting interface flags: No such device", even though everything has been triple-checked and is spelled and formatted correctly. Other problems include having no interfaces in the DomUs and them complaining about "time moving backwards, delta incorrect" or something similar!

Does anyone have a how-to guide on how to get both bonding and Xen working on Lenny? I followed the How-To Forge guide to get bonding up, which is how I got where I am now, however obviously I'm having problems making that work with Xen.

Any luck since your OP?

No idea how to help, but I am interested in the solution.

No, haven't gotten anywhere. I've been running it without bonding since I posted this thread... if anyone has any advice I'd really appreciate it!
