xampp log in

Hi I have just installed Xampp on my Suse 10.3 Linux. I wen through the security setup options and set passwords for the Xampp components.
Now when I go to localhost on Mozilla, I get prompted for my user name and password. I assume the password is the one I set up during Xampp security configuration, but what is the user name???? I have tried root, but with no success. I have also tried my Linux user name and log in password but also with no success.
What do I do here?

Thanks,
tim

According to this site, the username should be lampp, so give that a try.

Thanks reddazz,
I had done a search on the topic before posting, but couldn't find any appropriate info.
Brilliant advice, as always :-)
