Winword creates read only files on my Samba share

I have a similar problem with Microsoft Access and Photoshop. I am using Samba 3.2.5 and Debian 5.0

Can you give us an example of the permissions (ls -al /path/*) and what permissions/user you expect it to have?

these are the permissions I get:
-r--r--r-- 1 s users 13217 2010-10-15 12:06 test.docx
these are the ones I'd like to have:
-rwxrwxr--
