Which distro for an old machine to run tomcat

I know this is a 'what distro' question but i thought it best here. By all means admin move it if you prefer...

I have a 350MHz 64MB machine and I am hoping to run tomcat on it, as well as be an outward facing file-server (FTP etc). I currently have a fresh install of DamnSmallLinux and have tried Clarkconnect in the past (though not with tomcat) and thought I'd spend a little while having a go with some different small distro's that will serve my purpose. In which case, I was hoping for any advice / recommendatons. Has anyone tried a good distro for tomcat. Have some good/bad experiences?

TIA

Mitch.

They are both relatively recent, will they not be a bit heavy for the machine I've got?

What are the options like on choosing which packages (or equiv) you want from boot. For example I think KDE is more than I need and will be a burden...

Thanks for the tip though - looking it up now...(!)

as old as that machine is you have i suggest 10.2 and stick with a very light desktop such as blackbox...

Slackware offers a lot of choice in window managers...

BlackBox is an ancestor to fluxbox isn't it? I haven't used it before but I am (semi) familiar with flux.

I've not tried slackware before so I might as well give it a go. What else are the evenings for? ;)

Thanks for the recommendation. Anyone else?
