What is the best solution for managing Linux service accounts

We use Active Directory for user management. We have to change service account password every so often. When we change the password on AD and before we get to change the password on all the application servers where the account being used, the application breaks. I was wondering if any of you have experienced this and what the solution you have. Greatly appreciate any help.

Thanks

Need more information before we can help, because this is confusing. You say you're using AD for user/password management...then say when you change the password, you have to then go change a password elsewhere for the same user? If you're using a central scheme (like AD), changing it in one place changes it EVERYWHERE. So why are you having to change it in multiple places?

And you don't tell us what version/distro of Linux you're using, how many servers, what the application is, what it runs on, how IT connects to things, or what else is in your environment. Do you run AD because you're a Windows shop with some Linux? Without details, we can't say much.
