Webmail problem for redhat 7.3


I have received this error message when i try to log in to webmail.



A fatal error has occurred:

DB Error: connect failed

[line 108 of /var/www/html/mail/horde/lib/Prefs/sql.php]

Details have been logged for the administrator.


anyone can help?

Horde can't connect to the SQL back end. I'd check the configurations related to the database (specifically the database you use), and see that the user exists, the database exists, and the user has the proper access.

I'm not familiar with horde, but if you look through the install instructions for it, they should tell you how to setup the database. You will want to double check that your database is setup how they horde install says it should be.

Do u know how to check whether that mysqld is running?

If memory serves it should be:

service mysqld status
If that doesn't work let me know, and I'll log into one of the redhat boxes, and figure it out.

That means mysql isn't installed.
Do this:
