"webcam-server" stream problem

hello,
i work on debian,
since i haven't a webcam i tried to stream from a tv tuner card (/dev/video0)

in the file: "webcam.html" :
when the url is localhost:8888
everything goes well but of course nobody can access my video

when i change the url to <my domain:8888>
a black screen appears, also "Connection, please wait ..."

and it never connects

What software are you using to stream? And what do you mean by "since I haven't a webcam?" How does a webcam relate to a TV tuner card?

- the package called webcam-server
- it's used to build w webcam web based server
- i don't have a webcam so i tried the package on my tv tuner card and worked only on localhost port 8888

i.e. the package contain a file "webcam.html" that should be put in /var/www, this file must be edited to change the url from "localhost:8888" to <my website:8888>
to make others see the video.

but it works only on localhost.

I'm not familiar with the webcam-server program, is it a server or does it require apache?
Are you behind a router or some kind of firewall?
I know with verizon(DSL) I can't connect to a web server from within the LAN the server is on by using its domain. I need to use a proxy, or connect from outside the network.

- yes, it requires apache.
- there is no firewall, and i'm behind a simple "Dlink" router.

- me also i can't connect to a web server within my LAN, so i use "anonymouse.org"
to connect from outside
