Ok - I installed vsftpd on Debian and seems to be up and running. I kept the annonymous login enabled just because this is between friends I trust and nothing important will be on here.
I am assuming that vsftpd uses the "ftp" user account (/home/ftp) as the anon account, right? My question is based from what I have below, should anyone and everyone be able to upload to the the directories or is it locked down? I have not been able to add any data to the ftp server from another machine. I created the README file and those directories via SSH to that machine only.
