Hi,

You can use in vsftpd.conf
Code:
local_root=/home/sharedfiles

Hi vidyasagar,
When you are using any ftp, either using a Firefox or ftp client the system user called 'ftp' will login and browse data. By default the home directory of this system user will be /var/ftp. You can check this by checking the passwd file.

Now your need is to set /home/sharedfiles as ftp sharing directory. So you just need to change the home directory of ftp user as /home/sharedfiles. You can do this by issuing the commond

Quote:
usermod -d /home/sharedfiles ftp
