Hello,

I rent a VPS also, which comes with the same OS and doesn't have yum pre-installed. Look for a manual using Google for how to install yum on your VPS, that is if you have root/ssh access. For example Install yum into CentOS provides a way. Be sure to take a backup of your VPS before installing, you never know if it might come in handy.

Kind regards,

Eric

Hi -

Common problem (I'm encountering the same thing myself ):
"Yum" doesn't come with many Centos VPS's (including cPanel, Plesk, etc).

Here's the solution:

'Hope that helps!
