I have a problem with transcoding video on linux server (dis. Slackware 11.0).
I'm building a video upload-transcode service for my client - from any video format to .flv (for a flash player). Here, the problem show's up - if i upload uncompressed avi or any ordinary video encoded video file, i can transcode it with ffmpeg, it works file. The problem shows up with not so common video formats as 3gpp and other mobile formats. I know, i can add a "plugin" to ffmpeg, but with so many video formats, that can't be done quick and it still wouldn't support all video formats.
I was looking all over the web for an universal video transcoder for linux, that could transform all known video formats to FLV's, but couldn't find one. Maybe you could help?
