Users monitoring connected to the local server

Hello,
Can you give me examples of applications which allows monitoring users connected to a the local server?

The users from other computers are connected to local server. When I execute a 'arp' command I see all computers which use the server. Of course, I can connect to each machine by ssh protocol and execute command 'w' which show me users login to the machine. I'm interested in the application with GUI which can do those things (maybe in different way?).

Sorry for my english

Thanks for any answer

Regards,

The 'connect to each machine by ssh protocol and execute command 'w'' used to be the 'finger' service, though unreliable and deactivated by default. What I mean is it would help to know if this is for a particular reason (situation, application)?

the command 'w' (in my university network -Fedora 9 distro) shows the list of logged users. Maybe others commands are available but I know those only.
