Angry USB Storage Not Mounting in RHEL 5 Guest OS in VMWare Server 2

I've installed RHEL 5 Guest OS in WMWare Server 2 on Windows XP;
But I'm not able to mount USB Flash or USB Hard Disk; where as USB Mouse and Keybord is working fine.

If you run the command 'tail -f /var/log/messages' then plug in the device, do you see that the device is actually passed through to the vm ?
