Unhappy unixODBC - isql cant open lib

Hi,

we do have informix databases for our company. With our new Linux-Applicationservers we want to connect to the database via ODBC. I installed unixODBC (Ver. 2.3.1). With the configure-script I set up the odbc.ini path to /etc. After i copyed the right odbc.ini into /etc i tried to connect to the database via isql. It didnt work. I tried using the parameter -v to get an the error maybe. The output is as follow:

[01000][unixODBC][Driver Manager]Can't open lib '/opt/IBM/informix/lib/cli/libifcli.so' : file not found

I searched for this file and it was there like expectet.

Does somebody have some ideas?

Thanks for help!

P.S. sorry for bad english - english isnt my first language

Have you checked the permissions on that file?

Hey, thanks for the reply.

Yeah i checked them already.
It is 755
It also dont work as root - at least as root i should have the permission.
But i think i would get another error message if i hadn't enough permissions yet.

Code:
helios:~ # ls -ltr /opt/IBM/informix/lib/cli/libifcli.so
-rwxr-xr-x 3 informix informix 1835866 Jun 4 12:36 /opt/IBM/informix/lib/cli/libifcli.so
helios:~ #

You could try running isql via strace. That should tell you what's really going on (but you'll probably have to wade through several pages of text to find the problem).
