Post understanding vsftpd's builddefs.h config file

hello everyone, i just joined up today, but ive been coming to this forum for a bit. i just need help understanding the builddefs.h file of vsftpd. im not exactly sure what i need to do or if i have to put in any information about anything. ill list the items in the file, there arnt that many things in it.

#ifndef VSF_BUILDDEFS_H
#define VSF_BUILDDEFS_H

#undef VSF_BUILD_TCPWRAPPERS
#define VSF_BUILD_PAM
#undef VSF_BUILD_SSL

#endif /*VSF_BUILDDEFS_H */

i know that those things are commented, but is there anything i need to add to those variables?
if you need more information on my system, im just running Ubuntu 7.1 on my laptop. im testing these programs for when i get home and set up my tower to be my server. thanks for any help guys(& gals).

They're not commented, they're preprocessor directives and the hash mark is required. The first two lines prevent the contents of the header file from being included more than one time. The next three lines define variables that are used by vsftpd. According to this file, you are NOT using TCP Wrappers, you ARE using PAM, and you're NOT using SSL (the default for vsftpd IIRC).

If you want to use TCP Wrappers, for example, you would change #undef VSF_BUILD_TCPWRAPPERS to #define VSF_BUILD_TCPWRAPPERS. Otherwise, there is nothing to change.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TCP_Wrapper and ftp://ftp.porcupine.org/pub/security/index.html

It's used to filter network access to Internet protocol services.
