Umlauts (ö,ä,ü) does not shown right even if UTF-8 is set on Red Hat 6.3 Santiago
Hi everbody,
I'm using a Red Hat Server 6.3 (Santiago) - 2.6.32-279.el6.i686. I've installed CPAN - Comprehensive Perl Archive Network and I use the CPANM::Client module in a perl-script to read entries from a Exchange Calendar. It does work successfully. BUT if I'm reading for example the subject of an exchange calendar entry is "Ää Öö Üü" I get an output like "Ää Öö Üü". I have tried to change the file /etc/sysconfig/i18n FROM: LANG="en_US" SUPPORTED="en_US:en" SYSFONT="latarcyrheb-sun16" TO: LANG="en_US.UTF-8" SUPPORTED="en_US.UTF-8" SYSFONT="latarcyrheb-sun16 But unfortunatelly it does not help:-( I tried the CPAN::Client module on an Ubuntu-Desktop "Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS" and there it works! (UTF-8 is set) Does anybody have an idea? Thanks a lot and have a nice day! mindgame71 |
