Ubuntu server postfix install with amavis and spam assassin, how can I access the ema
I have a postfix mail server setup, I am using spamassassin and amavis for mail filtering. I followed the setup guide on the Ubuntu server guide website and it seems to work fine, however I need to be able to access the emails that didn't get through the filter as we suspect occasionally that some good emails are being filtered out. I cannot find any good documentation anywhere explaining how to do this.
I have located the actual spam emails in /var/lib/amavis/virusmails/, but these are all zipped up in .gz files and I want to be able to ideally connect an account to them so I can browse them to make sure there are no good ones in there by mistake. I am not too good with mail servers so I would love it if someone could give me a step by step guide, I have looked at a lot of guides on the web but they all seem to be very old and mention making changes to the amavisd.conf file which this version does not seem to have I am using ubuntu server 8.10. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. |
