Same issue, worked earlier

I am also facing the same issue. The issue started happening after I upgraded to the latest version of Ubuntu 11.04. I did not have any issue with Ubuntu Server 10.10.

Any help is much appreciated.
Thanks

Have you tried running it behind strace to see what it is doing?
Code:
strace cvs -d :pserver:username@localhost:/cvsroot checkout > ./strace-pserver-dump.txt | grep -i -w 'fatal\|error\|permission\|denied\|warning\|file'
Sorry, while I have not used that application /daemon before; i can say with out doubt, strace has helped me with figuring out some issues with openssl.

possibly a library is missing...

I came across your posts, because I had the same problem and solved it, kind of.

I also filed a bug report: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+s...sd/+bug/801675
It contains a quick hack to make the pserver checkouts work again.

May be you can help further, and find out which libraries are missing exactly...

Kind regards,
Stefan
