Tried to install Zend Loader on my test server- now PHP is not executing, but downloa

I just got a test server and was trying to install Zend Loader (tried that on my server as well some time ago, but it was no success). Then I wanted to test of it worked but now my php is not executing, in stead it when I go to a page with php scripting, it downloads a file (called download) in stead.

I have apache running and PHP 5.3.10 on Ubuntu 12.

What to do?

Oops - I found that I have installed Zend Optimizer in stead of Zend loader! And it's not compatible with PHP5.

Trying to remove Zend Optimizer ...

I have removed the files I installed with Zend Optimizer (just one file and added a zend.ini) and restarted server ... it didn't help. I have installed Zend Guard Loader in stead, but I still have the same problem with php.

Hmm ... where to look?
