Tool for managing the httpd.conf file
 
hello all ...;

all i need is tool for managing the file httpd.conf in apache like the one exist in red hat and fedora HTTP Configuration Tool
am using ubuntu edgy

Can u try webmin.

Its a web-based tool for system administration.
Is easy to setup too.

thanx for replaying but i want to know if the webmin adim. the local apache that installed on the box or admin the apache that comes with webmin ??

For the local apache that comes with the box.

Webmin install a minimal webserver on its own.

Why dont you try it once and see?

Or just check the webmin site once to know the details.
That will be a lot useful.

As for your quetsion, it will not conflicat with the apache you are running.It will install a minimal webserver on its own at some other port.
