tightvncserver no connection mandrake 10.2


hi,
I am trying to set up tight vncserver with mandrake 10.2. vncserver is installed (and running) and when i try to run vnc viewer from windows xp machine i am getting error as "failed to connect server".
I have included port (5900)in shorewall rules.what else need to be done.pls advice.

Now i am able to get connection but no icon's with mouse pointer
