Tcpserver error while starting qmail server.

Hi,

I was trying to install qmail using LWQ documenation. Completed all steps as per the doco. Unfortunately qmail smtpd service is not working.
--------------
[root@server ~]# qmailctl stat
/service/qmail-send: up (pid 1735) 38 seconds
/service/qmail-send/log: up (pid 1734) 38 seconds
/service/qmail-smtpd: up (pid 1964) 0 seconds
/service/qmail-smtpd/log: up (pid 1736) 38 seconds
messages in queue: 0
messages in queue but not yet preprocessed: 0
----------------

This is the error I am getting in qmail smtpd log
-------------
@400000005545cfb427858bcc softlimit: fatal: unable to run /usr/local/bin/tcpserver: file does not exist
------------

But file exists with correct permission.
[root@server ~]# ls -la /usr/local/bin/tcpserver
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 48496 May 1 12:59 /usr/local/bin/tcpserver

I tried changing the softlimit to different values, no luck

please help to sort this out.

Hi.

Make sure you don't have any whitespaces after the 2 backslashes \ in /var/qmail/supervise/qmail-smtpd/run
Code:
<snip>
exec /usr/local/bin/softlimit -m 4000000 \
    /usr/local/bin/tcpserver -v -R -l "$LOCAL" -x /etc/tcp.smtp.cdb -c "$MAXSMTPD" \
        -u "$QMAILDUID" -g "$NOFILESGID" 0 smtp /var/qmail/bin/qmail-smtpd 2>&1
Regards
