Question Synchronizing folders

Hi there, I had just a fast question. I wanted to know how to synchronize a Linux (xfce) folder with a folder on any FTP server. (I knew Cobian Backup on Windows but it doesn't exist on Linux, and all backup programs I tried to install were not featuring what I need).

Thanx a lot !
Aenahel.

rsync is a tool better suited for synchronizing remote directories.. do you have the option to use something other than FTP ?

Synchronizing Folders

If you need two-way sync, you should check into Unison. Of course, you'll need SSH and the ability to install software on the FTP server.

Thank you for the hints ^^ I've tried both of the softs and I think I will use them. But my main problem is still there, although I could now bypass it. I need something which can update some files automatically from a folder on my computer on an FTP server (using host, user and password).

Thanx again
Aenahel.

Write a script to handle the FTP and schedule it with cron..
