swat from remote computer fails

Hi

I am new to this Linux world so please be patient. I have managed to fire up a very simple samba server (which i am proud of) and get to it via SWAT. However, i can only do so on the machine that samba sits on. I cannot connect to it from Remote XP machine. any ideas?

Anybody viewing this and having same problem i have sorted it.

You need to add ADDITIONAL IP addreses of those remote computers you want to access SWAT from. Yo need to edit this file:

/etc/xinetd.d

and open the swat.conf file that resides there.

Find this line:

only_from = localhost

and add your local computers IP address (remember to put a space after"localhost" before entering your IP address)So like this:

only_from = localhost 192.x.x.x 192.x.x.x

then save it all and restart
