surfing quota


hello friends,
I had implemented the squid server. Now what i want to do is to have a surfing quota. Every user should have the limit to access the internet. After the quota is over the internet should be disconnected how it can be achived.
I will be very thankful to you if anybody can help me out.

Hello.

I think so you can use a script with some software:

* ntop
* cacti
* mrtg

search in google for some example of scripts/plugins.

Are you talking about delay pools? Have a look at the docs on the Squid FAQ for some info about this. The general heading is Delay Pools and there is some bandwith limiting info at How to limit a single connection to 128 Kbps? on limiting bandwidth by host.
