Stop one profile from roaming in domain with samba domain controller

Hi

I have a domain admin user that i only use to log into windows clients in my company to install software. Is there a way i can stop just this user from having a roaming profile. I don't want him to store anything permanently on any clients.

I don't know know do to that in SAMBA, I would like to know, if anyone knows how.

But, I known how to limit which folders will be copied to roaming profile in Samba Server and/or how to limit its size and it is not related to SAMBA, but to windows itself. It is a configuration you need to apply in each Windows XP you would limit.

It is a Windows XP administrative tool named gpedit.msc (Start/run/ and type "gpedit.msc" on text box)

On the left panel, this particular settings is in "User Configuration/Administrative Models/System/User profile". The settings itself are in the right panel.

I hope this can help.

Add admin user to local administrator.You can do most of work remotely.

Then Try this one : User Configuration/Administrative Models/System/User profile and enable

Delete Cached Copied of Users Roaming Profile.

Remember that this setting u have to enable on all computers when u r logging aa admin.

And this will also delete all users roamin profile after logging off.

Roaming profiles also affects Network Traffic,while user is logging in or logging off.

It seems i can do something. Every user has a file "ntuser.ini" in their profile. Mine looks like this:

[General]
ExclusionList=Local Settings;Temporary Internet Files;History;Temp

Would changing this to this cause it to not download anything?
[General]
ExclusionList=*

Editing Exclusion list on file ntuser.ini is the dirty way.
You can do the same using gpedit.msc. It has a control to do exactly tthe same thing. Read the explanation that and you will see the same list.
