Status of system, which commands decribes it the best ?

Hello all,

I think this is right place for question I have.

I have some unix/linux servers, with very important applications on it, billing, subscribers info and etc. I am going to make an script that will run every day ( I will put it in cron table ) that will check state of system. I put there df -h, ps -aux, free -m, vmstat, and some other commands....

I am asking you to suggest me which commands I can put there in script too that can help me to get information that are important for system. I mean according your experience, ... of course I googled, but some additional information from you will help.

Your suggestions will be very useful for me

Thank you in advance

Install sysstat. It will provide all the data you'll need, and a history as well.

Absolutely essential.
