start network daemon problem


Hi all,
i want to start my server in rescue mode and chroot /mnt/sysimage and when i type : etc/rc.d/init.d/network start
it returns:
Bringing up interface lo Delaying eth0 initialization. Failed
Bringing up interface eth0 Delaying eth0 initialization. Failed

what's the problem and how do i solve it? thanks~

Perhaps in rescue mode the modules or drivers were not loaded? I'd start first by checking that. In most situations, rescue mode loads the bare minimal so you can actually troubleshoot your system by not encountering the issues that brought you to boot into a rescue mode..
