Smile stalling at updating VPS server

(that's right, more fun 4 you...)

When I'm updating my VPS server the process stalling. Reaches to write 2-3 files, then stall. I mean is not that refuse the entire transfer.

- connecting via ssh2 on port > 1000
- localhost:centos5; remote server: centos5
- from winXP is the same
- running lighttpd (not apache)

even stopping iptables malfunction continue the same.

Any idea? I'll try to test with apache, but if you know a fast workaround much better.

TIA.-

I have just received my new book "linux complete" compiled by Grant Taylor. Very soon I'll publish my review on LQ...

Wink

more data:

Now I'm trying to setup a new domain on DNS (via webmin) and when save changes server hangs.

And now I remind that time ago (after previous problem declared) when save (mysql) data via mysqladmin also hangs.

I am willing to start from scratch but I want to know at least what is going on!

--------------------------------

working directly on server's console (logged with ssh) all goes fine.
