Unhappy SSL Cert - Domain Name Mismatch

SSL Cert - Domain Name Mismatch

Hello,
I'm trying to help a client with his Blue Quartz/centos box but my experience with this O/S is minimal. I appreciate any help!

The client needs to get a new SSL Cert for a domain hosted on the blue quartz server.

We went into the server and created a CSR and filed it with an SSL authority (Comodo). But the CSR was rejected because it didn't match the domain name we were trying to get the SSL Cert registered to.

It looks like the CSR contains the primary name of the server, not the name of the particular web site we want for the SSL Cert.

Can you provide me with any instructions regarding cancelling the pending CSR and where to go in order to issue a new CSR for the proper domain?

Thank you much!

I'm sorry but that hasn't got anything to do with GNU/Linux. Those are administrative processes which may be CA specific. Read up on how this CA handles those requests at their website or ask their support.

It's not another CA you need but another port or IP adddress (I'm guessing you're on shared hosting so correct me if I'm wrong). Search LQ for SSL and Vhost and additionally read http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.0/ssl/ssl_faq.html, http://www.onlamp.com/pub/a/apache/2...pacheckbk.html and alternatives in http://wiki.cacert.org/wiki/VhostTaskForce.
