Unhappy ss5 dead but subsys locked


hi
I installed ss5 in CentOS , after hours the service is stop and i watched the log but there is nothing in it!!!
I used the command service ss5 status and the output is: ss5 dead but subsys locked .
What i should do ??? plz help

That generally means that ss5 has a lock file it uses to prevent multiple copies trying to run simultaneously.
Try having a look under /var/lock, /var/lock/subsys.
Check that ss5 is not running, then eliminate the associated lock file & restart it.
