Hey guys,
Im kind of under a deadline for work, Im 19, I have been using linux for 2 weeks and I need help with this I need to run a squid proxy to:
1. Cache Web traffic
2. Log and create reports re: URL activity on a per user basis
3. Block URLs (not now, but in the future)
4. Authenticate using Active Directory.
I currently have Fedora 11 with Squid 3 installed
ok I know how to block URLs and Cache Web traffic.
But to log and create the reports for individual users,
and Authenticating using active Directory (for a windows based Server)
I am at a loss.
I dont really know how to get the changes I have made to the squid.conf file
but I added these entries to mine (from this website-http://magazine.redhat.com/2007/04/11/squid-in-5-minutes/)
I also went Here(
http://www.cyberciti.biz/tips/howto-...ntication.html) and tried doing what it told me (but here is where I got lost)
So help me out PLEASE!
so how do I find my squid.conf file changes that I have made, and how do I do no#2 and no#4 in my list of things, but I definitely need a serious walkthrough on how to do the other things thanks
