Squid Server Very Very Very Slow


Respected Sir,
I have more than 100 user and we are using wireless connection.
I implemented the squid server. The machine has the following hardware configuration
Ram 384Mb
Hard disk 40Gb

The thing is the server while loading the page is so slow that even Sir you will not beleav.
All the staff is complaning.
Can you give me some useful tips.
I also want to know that can you please tell me the name of some utilities that are used for realtime monitoring of log files.
Actually i am using the command
TAIL -F /VAR/LOG/SQUID/SQUID.CONF

but my team require the coloring affect.
I will appreciate the idea
