Squid process gets killed

Hello All,

I have a problem with my squid which is acting as a tranparent proxy with wccp enabled.

Version no: 2.5.STABLE12

In the log file [/var/log/messages] there is a log stating

Sep 11 09:29:40 proxy2 squid[1774]: Squid Parent: child process 26538 exited due to signal 11

As this is signal 11 - this means its something related with memory, if
I am not wrong. It then is restarted again autometically shortly
afterwards. One thing to notify is that this message appeares during
the usage period, after that when load is not so high it dosent give
such messages.

Also to be mentioned that I have sufficient amount of RAM [4GB] and
Caching Space.

In this case what I may do ?

PLS ask for any other info, if needed.
Any suggestions is highly appriciable.

Thanks in advance.

By itself, that's not a lot of info. Have you looked in squid's logs (cache.log, access.log, store.log) - they're usually under /var/log/squid but the squid.conf file will give you the location.
