Squid problem: can someone please help?

I've attached my squid.conf, i'm hoping someone will help me to find out whats wrong here. I'm creating a proxy server along with a content filter for work using dansguardian and squid,

recently my boss asked me to allow a few ips to bypass squid without being authenticated now i thought this config might do it but it seems to be reluctant to let this computer through without being authenticated can anyone help and point out any mistakes i've made?

Regards Glynn Bower

Try to change the lines from
Code:
# INSERT YOUR OWN RULE(S) HERE TO ALLOW ACCESS FROM YOUR CLIENTS

http_access allow auth
http_access allow ip
to

Code:
# INSERT YOUR OWN RULE(S) HERE TO ALLOW ACCESS FROM YOUR CLIENTS

http_access allow ip
http_access allow auth
and write please if it helped.

As I understood, the computer which doesn't need to be authenticated has IP address 192.168.1.2, am I right ?

You had the same idea i had moving the http_access's about because of certain problems no this does not work but i did try going through my squid port and found out that the rules are working so now that leaves me with dansguardian so i've managed to narrow it down to this any one have any ideas or has anyone come across this problem before.. it's really frustrating...

Thanks for the reply but i've tried that and iptables (port forwarding) that didn't work, now i'm thinking dans doesn't have permissions to access the cache or read the configuration
