squid is very slow

hi,

i have two squids one is centos 5 and other one is 6.2,
centos 5 is fine and works fast. but centos 6.2 is very slow,
if i try to access internet via centos 6.2 squid it literally takes 5-10 seconds to load a page.
Quote:

as a matter of fact centos 5 has 4 Mbps line, and centos6 is configured for 10-30Mbps line, why this is very slow while centos 5 squid is very fast.
please help me sort it out

thank you.

You have given us no details, so there's little we can help you with. What version of squid? Are the same clients accessing both servers? Have you done ANY diagnostics, such as running an internet speed test from both servers to see if there's a difference? Same firewall(s) in place for both? Same configurations???

Start with identifying what the differences are between the two.
