squid easily says cannot find URL
hai, i am using squid 2.6 Stable 8.
it works, fine. But sometimes, it can easily produce this kind of error : The requested URL could not be retrieved While trying to retrieve the URL: http://www.sourceforge.net/ The following error was encountered: Unable to determine IP address from host name for www.sourceforge.net The dnsserver returned: No DNS records This means that: The cache was not able to resolve the hostname presented in the URL. Check if the address is correct. it occurs 1 second after i put the URL on the browser. Seems like squid doesn't even try to query the DNS for the URL. any idea ? Thanx |
seems like i was wrong, the problem still there... :(
any idea ? |
Problem Solved ! :D
Seems like the problem lies on the DNS server of my ISP. In the end, i set my own DNS server for my network, which act as a cache server that contact some root server  sorry for the trouble... |
