Spurious martian source messages


Hello,
My comp has been working alright and all of a sudden it's behaving in a strange way.

The problem is that the system connects EITHER from intranet (with eth0 and eth1 both up) OR only from internet (if I down eth1).
eth0 - external gateway
eth1 - internal gateway

The error is as follows (both IPs are external and correct):
martian source 200.x.y.z2 from e1.e2.e3.e4, on dev eth0
ll header: 00:50:ba:cd:47:c7:00:30:48:52:44:91:08:00

I have two comps, let's say, Left.com and Right.com. Both have two ethernet cards (eth0 and eth1). Right.com works fine even now and Left.com has probs.

route -n gives the following o/p:

For some strange reason all the info about gateways is lost for eth0 (external IP) in Left.com. Despite that it has been working till late. When I earlier made external gateway as the default, I could not connect to the system from the organization as all SSH requests are blocked. This problem of a single gateway appeared also in CentOS-5 that I earlier used.

Can anyone suggest a way out please?

I don't think I quite understand your problem but martian sources are just addresses that should not be used like: class E addresses, 127.x.x.x addresses, 0.0.0.0 addresses, 255.255.255.255 etc...
If you are loosing connectivity when you ifdown one of the two interfaces see if you can ping your default GW and do a arp -an.
