Spontainious Freezes Red Hat 4.7 ES

I installed Red Hat 4.7 ES on a server at our company's data center. It is a Dell R610 server. It was over a month ago and i was installing a couple of other servers, so I can't remember exactly how I installed it. Now, I have to go down there to reboot the system because our technical team can't SSH into it after the server has been up for more than a couple of days now. I have a iDRAC card attached, and that too locks up. I found a hostname issue when the kernel hadthe wrong hostname but the /etc/sysconfig/network file had a different one; I fixed this issue, but the system still freezes. I have checked the log files and can find nothing. I have been searching the internet for days to try and find a resolution, but to no resolve. Has anyone ever come across server activity like this before? I have an exact replica server mounted above it and it is having no issues whatsoever. Please help.

Can I know some more clarifications regarding this? so that it will be eas y for me to sort out!!

1) When you server freezes, are you able to work locally on the server(or only through the network) or do you hard reset the server for it to work.

2) Does the server freezes every 2 days? how consistently does it freeze??

3) Is your server network device uses dhcp client or is it configured for static IP.?

1.) I have to hard reset it to work. The whole box freezes
2.) Yes. It will freeze every 2 days.
3.) It is configured with a static IP.

I found the issue. It is a bug in the kernel. I need to upgrade to EL and it will be solved.
