Split Domain Between QMAIL and Exchange

All,

I have a predicament that I need some assistance with.

Our company based out of the US just merged with a company based out of India. We run have a hosted Exchange 2003 server in the US with about 100 users, while India has a QMAIL server with 300 users. We are in the process of integrating our IT services, and one of the first tasks is going to be integrating our e-mail. Prior to moving to a shared e-mail solution we are planning to simply move to the same e-mail domain at both sites on the disparate e-mail servers.

For incoming mail routing we are using Postini. Many companies use this functionality and it works well. Our issue is going to be internal mail routing between India (QMAIL) and the US (Exchange). When UserA in India attempts to send an e-mail to UserB in the US, the QMAIL server, once it fails to find the mailbox on itself, needs to send the mail on to the US server. This, as most of you know, is a split domain configuration. Our hosted Exchange server easily supports a split domain configuration. What is the easiest way to configure QMAIL for a split domain configuration like I'm describing?

Thanks!

Matt

No one else out there has dealt with a similar issue before? Please help if you have!

Thanks,
Matt
